The Food Pantry serves as Oxford's local food bank, offering groceries to individuals and families facing food insecurity in Lafayette County. It is operated by volunteers from various churches on a rotating monthly schedule. Several members of our congregation support the pantry throughout the year, and St. Andrew’s volunteers take a lead role in staffing it during the month of August. The Food Pantry is located next to the former Oxford Police Department on Molly Barr Road.
A collaborative effort among local churches to provide assistance with basic needs to individuals in Lafayette County who face crisis situations. All donations left at the communion rail on Communion Sunday are donated to this ministry. A ministry being spearheaded by St. Andrews Church of Oxford in our area is a ramp building ministry. With help from the Fuller Center, neighbors and friends of the homeowners, and members of St. Andrew's, ramps are constructed for individuals with physical disabilities. It is great to work together as a community to be the hands and feet of Christ for those in need.
St. Andrew's is pleased to sponsor Scout Troop 146 of Oxford.
